General Manager - Advertising Sales

Our client is a diversified large local company with properties in the hotel industry who is looking for a suitable talent to fill in the following position asap. • Develop and execute sales of ambient media in the Hotel properties and ancillary income programmes throughout the country and provide sales support for overseas properties.

• Analyze and prepare benchmark rate cards
• Manage ambient media and digital signage networks business programmes
• Manage existing client accounts and relationships with Media Agencies
• Business development of new markets and clientele
• Assist with preparation of and have ownership of sales department annual budget

• At least 8 years of proven track record in the ambient sales field
• Work experience in account management in media, advertising agency or sales & marketing preferably with direct contacts in the FMCG industry.
• Able to deliver on high individual targets
• Possess a Degree in Business Studies, Sales & Marketing or Mass Communication
• Professional with a strong drive to succeed in a challenging but rewarding environment
• Outgoing and a go getter. Never take ‘NO’ for an answer attitude.
• Excellent command of both verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Strong interpersonal skills, top notch communication & presentation skills, analytical, an excellent negotiator with exceptional convincing skills.
• Innovative and creative thinking for where to market and how to achieve specific sales targets
• Able to work with minimum supervision and handle pressure as if totally in charge of solely handling own business unit
